Driving in India’s largest recruitment force, Indian Railways open doors for paramedical personnel

Jotting down candidates to give them an opportunity in India’s largest ever recruitment drive, Indian Railways this time opens door to welcome paramedical personnel. The exam will be conducted across various centers in the country from July 19 to July 21 through online basis.

The recruitment process will comprise of a Computer Based Test (CBT), on the basis on which candidates will be shortlisted for 1923 vacancies. The online test will happen over a three day period from 19 to 21 July, with three shifts on each particular day. The recruitment initiative has seen a massive response, with over 4.39 lakh applicants registering to take the test.

Exam Pattern for RRB recruitment 2019:

The Computer Based Test will be conducted for duration of 90 minutes. An extra 30 minutes will be given to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs). The test will include questions from the professional stream, general awareness, general arithmetic, general intelligence and reasoning, and general science. There will be multiple choice objective questions. The questions of the test will be available in 15 different languages, including English and Hindi. The candidates can view the question in English and the language the candidate has opted as the medium of the test.

As for the general layout of the question papers, they will have a wide variety of sections, ranging from General Awareness, General Intelligence, Reasoning, General to General Arithmetic, Professional Stream, etc.

Candidates will be allotted 90 minutes to take the test, while extra time of 30 minutes will be provided to coming under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) category. Some of the posts for which vacancies will be filled in via this recruitment process are: Staff Nurse, Health & Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, Radiographer, Dietician, among others.

This is the first recruitment process conducted by the Indian Railways in which reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) will be available to eligible candidates. A total of 4,654 EWS candidates will be appearing in the tests against the 10% of the total vacancies earmarked for EWS candidates.
