Cold in Maharshtra including Thane areas

The entire Maharashtra including Mumbai Thane area is covered with rain and the next few days will be rainy. As the temperature dropped in the northern states, the winds from there and dry weather conditions have increased the severity of cold in Maharashtra, the observatory said.
For the first time in this season, the minimum night temperature has gone below 10 degrees, and Jalgaon recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 8.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

The minimum temperature in Mumbai has dipped below 20 degrees Celsius and many cities in the state have also dipped below 10 degrees Celsius. Mumbai’s eastern and western suburbs experienced heavy hail on Friday and Saturday night.
Snow is falling in some places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh etc. Due to prevailing winds and dry weather conditions, the temperature dropped in North and North-West regions.

Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad also recorded minimum temperature below 10 degrees. Temperatures in North and West Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha have dropped significantly compared to the average. The temperature in Konkan region including Mumbai area has also decreased compared to the average.
