CBI arrest SHO of Loran (j&k) police station for accepting bribe

CBI ARRESTS SHO OF POLICE STATION LORAN (J&K) FOR ACCEPTING BRIBE

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested SHO, Police Station Loran, Poonch (J&K) for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/-from the Complainant.

A case was registered on complaint against the accused on the allegations of demanding bribe. It was alleged that a complaint was lodged in Police Station Loran, Poonch against the Complainant by his sister-in-law, in a matter of land dispute. It was further alleged that the accused demanded bribe of Rs.10,000/-from the Complainant for closing the complaint lodged against him.

CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the Complainant. Searches were conducted at the office and residential premises of the accused at Poonch and Jammu.

The arrested accused is being produced today before the Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption (CBI Cases), Jammu.
