Built on Kalwa Khadi bridge Saket side route of new bridge started

Mumbai, Dt. 11
Saket direction route of the new bridge constructed on the Kalwa Khadi bridge has started. With the opening of this route, the traffic congestion on Saket road will be avoided.

Due to this new route, the load of vehicles on the old Kalwa bridge will be reduced. As the bridge becomes fully operational, the traffic from Thane city towards Kalwa, Navi Mumbai will be able to be carried entirely over the new bridge.

Kalwa bridge on Thane-Belapur route was narrow, causing traffic jams on this route every day. To solve this traffic jam, Thane Municipal Corporation constructed a new creek bridge next to the old bridge. A bridge route was started on this bridge from CIDCO towards Kalva and from Courtnaka towards Kalva. But the work of Saket bridge was not completed. Therefore, the pool was not operational at full capacity.

Since the Saket route was not open, the vehicles transporting from Saket towards Kalwa used to use the old Kalwa bridge. Due to this, the vehicles coming via Balkoom had to get stuck in the traffic jam at Kalwa. Now that the new route has been started, it will help to reduce the traffic congestion.
