“I am chief servant and not the chief minister of this state. In last five years, while working for you we did not think of ourselves or our families. We did not open any private industries, educational institutes and neither created empire for us”, he said further adding that the BJP government in the state was not stained by corruption allegations in the last five years.

Reading the note of appreciation for the party further, he said, “The BJP has given Rs 50,000 crore of assistance to farmers in Maharashtra in five years in the form of loan waiver. The previous government could not deposit even Rs 20,000 crore in 15 years,” he said.

In 2014, Maharashtra ranked 18th in education in the country, but within three years it rose to the third rank. Lauding the last five years of BJP regime in the state, he said that it had given an assistance of Rs 700 crore for the Kochi project which was nearing completion, while Rs 2,500 crore were being spent for constructing a 150-km tunnel to bring water from Madhya Pradesh to Nagpur district, which would bring 1.5 lakh acres of land under irrigation.

“The trend across the country is that students leave Zilla Parishad schools for private schools. But in the last two years, one lakh students shifted to Zilla Parishad schools from private schools, because we improved the standard of education at Zilla Parishad schools”, he signed off.
