Women officers-employees have been entrusted with the entire responsibility of running the affairs of the station along with the management of Akurli station in Dahisar-Gundavali Metro 7 line and Akurli station in Dahisar-Andheri Paschim Metro 7 line.
Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has given the responsibility of these two metro stations to 76 women officers-employees. MMRDA has claimed that this is the first experiment in the state in the metro project.
Women will be working at these stations as station managers, security guards, ticket sales officers, supervisors.
