After getting a bail in National Herald case, Congress President Rahul Gandhi seems enjoying the court matters and has developed a tendency of Aa Bail Muze Maar! (Come, O Bull, hit me!). While his jibes and blatant lies against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh have landed him in Bhiwandi sessions court as a convict; now the Congress President has got entangled himself in another serious act.
On June 15, Rahul Gandhi tweeted a version of the video clip in which the faces of the boys are clearly visible. Not only that, the Congress president made a desperate redundant attempt to malign the image of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh through his comments.
Here is the controversial tweet by the Congress President.
Acting unsympathetically on the purposeful act of disclosing the identity of three Dalit boys who were stripped, beaten and paraded nude in Jalgaon district, in Maharashtra, the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR) sent a show cause notice to Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday.
Rahul Gandhi in his tweet wrote that the boys’ only mistake had been to bathe in a “golden” well, indicating that the owner of the well belongs to an upper caste. He also said history wouldn’t forgive India if it doesn’t speak up against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Gandhi’s tweet has been retweeted more than nine thousand times.
Pravin Ghuge, the chairperson of MSCPCR, has issued a notice against Rahul Gandhi’s act and has been accused of violating sections related to Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and has been asked to file his reply within the next 10 days.
It all started when on June 10, three minor Dalit boys were stripped, beaten and paraded naked in the village of Vakadi, in Jalgaon district. They had allegedly been swimming in a well which water was supposed to be used for drinking purpose only. Media reports say that the owner of the well ordered a domestic help to beat the boys. He also filmed this and uploaded it on social media. The video went viral and on June 14, local police registered a first information report of this case. The clip from the video was shown on many news channels, with the faces of the boys blurred. But the Gandhi tweet disclosed the faces of the victims.
