“Those who are sitting in Delhi’s AC rooms are far away from the ground reality. They are busy keeping tab on the estimated happenings like who meet, who all collaborate. Now I know why Sharad Rao ran away from the battleground”, said PM Modi taking a grand sarcastic hit at the NCP chief Sharad Pawar today.
Modi was addressing a rally in Maharashtra’s Akluj city for the Lok Sabha elections underway. Slamming Pawar further PM Modi said that the NCP chief had fled the poll arena from Madha Lok Sabha constituency as he sensed defeat. Putting a new spin on Rahul Gandhi’s ‘why are all Modis thieves’ remark, Modi said, “Congress president, by making the jibe, maligns the backward community he hails from”.

“For making India a superpower, the country needs a sturdy government, not a helpless one, and that tough only a Chowkidar can provide and not the Congress-NCP. The public rally at Akluj was for the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Madha Lok Sabha constituency, royal descendent Ranjitsinh Naik-Nimbalkar, who is facing NCP’s Sanjay Shinde.
“It is for the first time that the people of India are voluntarily campaigning for the ruling reigns in this Lok Sabha elections. They are using their own money to reach out to the public and are urging to bring BJP into power again”, he said expressing his amusement over the mass enthusiasm.
“Last time in 2014 you gave me a full majority and I could work with full strength to take firm decisions and work for public welfare. Masses have witnessed the development in the country for past five years. This time too all is in the mass hands,” Modi signed off.
