A demon in every house..! Youngsters in Gujarat go behind the bars for playing banned PUBG

The Gujarat police moved up arresting a dozen of student youngsters, accused of playing the banned online game named PUGB. Ideally developing in all the sectors and viewing to channelize the young energy in the proper direction, Gujarat became the first state to ban the game.

The arrests occurred yesterday in western Gujarat, where authorities enforced an outright ban on PUBG last week over concerns about its impact on the behaviour, conduct and language of those playing it. The students were released on bail later the same day, police inspector VS Vanzara informed.

Another police official, Rohit Raval alignd to the case said that the game was highly addictive and the accused were so engrossed in playing that they did not even see police approaching. But concern has been raised in other parts of the country, where close to half a billion people are online and cheap smartphones and data plans are bringing more first-time users into the digital realm. Parents and educators say the game incites violence and distracts students from their studies.

Meanwhile a minister in Goa described PUBG as a demon in every house. Last month, a mother had complained to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi about her son’s addiction to online games during a public interaction and he replied, “Is this the PUBG one?”
