The temperature has dropped in Mumbai for the past few days and it is getting colder.
The mercury in Santa Cruz dipped to 13.8 degrees Celsius in the early hours of Sunday while Colaba recorded a minimum temperature of 16.2 degrees Celsius. Sunday was the lowest temperature of this season.
According to records at Colaba station in Mumbai, the minimum temperature on Sunday dropped by 1.2 degrees and the mercury at Santacruz station dropped by 1.4 degrees compared to Saturday.
Due to cold weather in Mumbai, the pollution level increased on Sunday and the index was bad. Mumbai’s pollution index was between 290 and 300.
Bandra Kurla Complex, Chembur, Andheri recorded the pollution index as Very Bad.
Navi Mumbai’s pollution index was also very bad. Whereas the pollution index was bad in Colaba, Mazgaon.
As the air quality at three centers of Mumbai was very poor, the overall air quality index of Mumbai also tended towards the same level. The weather in Mumbai is likely to be bad for the next two days.
