Fund of Rs 1 thousand 160 crore approved by the state government
Teachers and non-teaching staff in private unaided and partially aided schools in Maharashtra will be given 20 percent subsidy. School Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar informed that a fund of Rs 1,160 crore has been approved by the state government for this purpose. About 60 thousand teachers and non-teaching staff will benefit from this.
With this decision, schools in the state receiving declared, unannounced 29 per cent and 40 per cent subsidy as well as meeting loopholes, have cleared the way for the next phase of salary subsidy.
The teachers and non-teaching staff of unaided and partially aided primary, secondary and junior colleges in the state had started agitation at Azad Maidan for the past few days. Against this backdrop, Education Minister Kesarkar announced the next phase of subsidy to these employees
