Mumbai: A delegation comprising veteran filmmakers along with actor Aamir Khan on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence.
On this occasion, veteran filmmakers Rajkumar Hirani, Aanand L Rai, Ritesh Sidhwani, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Maulik Bhagat, and Mahaveer Jain were present during the interactive session.
According to media reports, various issues pertaining to the film industry and new age filmmaking were presented by the top panel.
Prime Minister Modi urged creative fraternity to utilize the craft of movie making in the process of nation-building and shared some ideas for the same.
Responding positively to the suggestions and creative ideas coined by the bunch of directors, Modi assured a constitution of a body to address the issue faced by the film fraternity.
