The Supreme Court said on Monday that it will hear on 17th May the petition of the Center challenging the Delhi High Court’s decision to cancel the cadre allotment of IAS and IPS officers of 2018 batch.
The case came in front of the bench of Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice Sanjeev Khanna for immediate hearing.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the bench that the High Court has asked the government to repeat the entire exercise of the cadre allocation.
Mehta told the court that the training of selected officers under the cadre of 2018 batch has been completed and from 10th May, he had to join duty in his cadre.
The Delhi High Court recently ordered the allocation of fresh cadre of 2018 batch IAS and IPS officers by canceling the cadre allocation, as per the new policy.
