Pune police arrests “Maulavi” for assaulting 36 minor children; admits sin to pave way for Jannat

One will get “Jannat” or heaven by assaulting small children or students! is this an ideology followed by Islam or Islamic scholars or preachers or clerics? If yes then a ‘Shame’ and if no then why others are quiet? Assaulting anyone is a crime and if a Maulalvi (clerics), scholars assault anyone then they are not more than just a criminal.

Pune police on Saturday arrested a Maulana (Cleric) of a Madarsa which is based in Katraj area for sexually assaulting at least 36 students. All the 36 students have been rescued immediately after the heinous incident came into light and a case against Maulana was registered.

Putting a light on this heinous incident, a known practicing Advocate Prashant Patel Umrao tweeted. He in a tweet said, “36 Children with critical condition are rescued from Jamiat ul Khairiya Al Islamia Madarsa in Katraj, Pune by Maha Police. A Maulvi is also arrested who was sexually assaulting them to get Jannat.”

The horrific incident came to light when two children were spotted alone by the Railway Police Force (RPF) at the Pune Railway Station. After being taken into custody the two children informed about the sins of Maulavi after which they were handed over to NGO named ‘Saathi’. NGO ‘Saathi’ works towards child rescue and rehabilitation.

Taking an immediate cognizance in the matter, a police team with the help of child rights activists raided Jamia Amubhuja Darul Yatama raided the Madarsa which is in Pune’s Katraj suburb and arrested the Maulavi named Rahim and rescued 34 children aged between 5 to 14. An FIR has been registered against him under Juvenile Justice and POCSO Act. Rahim has been accused by two children who are natives of Bihar’s Bhagalpur district.

This is not the first time when such heinous crime of Maulvis has come to light. In the month of May this year, a Madrasa teacher Mohammed Rehan Ansari was arrested in Hyderabad for sexually abusing six minor children.
