The fresh incident took place between Thakurli to Kalyan railway station of Central Railway. Smita Chaudhary, a woman working in Dombivli Nagari Cooperative Bank of Amarnath, had climbed into the local going from Thakurli towards Amarnath at 8:13 am. According to the woman, despite the time in the morning, there was no woman or police man in the local, a 15 – 14 year old boy was also traveling illegally in the local female compartment.

The passenger company had a 26000-priced mobile in Samsung’s hands. Before coming to Kalyan station, the train often stops at the first signal of the station. In the morning, the victim went to the Lohmarg police station in Kalyan to register a complaint. Where the police personnel present kept for an hour and finally Kalyan Lohmarg police registered the complaint of the woman after a colleague of the victim’s woman called her senior officer familiar with the GRP.

This incident has exposed another negligence of the railways. On one side, where there is a requirement of women or male police of the railway in women, the railway administration has installed CCTV cameras in every women’s box.

Surprisingly, Kalpana RPF accepted that the box of this box was also turned off, asking the aggrieved woman to make a detailed statement of the accused, the gross negligence of the railway administration is evident from this incident. Passenger organizations demand strict action against railway policemen convicted in this case and railway officials guilty of shutting down CCTV.
