Unbiased and stringent action should be taken against the accused in the case of suicide by Payal Tadvi
On 22nd May, at the famous Nair Hospital in Mumbai, there has been a sad case of atrocity against a woman doctor. 24 year old Dr. Payal Tadvi was the second year student of the BYL Nair hospital and a postgraduate student in department of gynaecology
For several days, Payal was harassed by three senior female doctors of her department. Payal committed suicide due to not being able to tolerate this tyranny.The police has registered the case with the local police (Hema Ahuja, Bhakti Mahere and Ankita Khandelwal) on the three criminals.
While taking note of this issue, ABVP expressed outrage towards the administration of Institute. Mumbai ABVP Secretary Amey Mahadik said that, “We want a intense and meticulous inquiry into this matter and we demand stringent action against the culprits. A suicide of intelligent female doctor is not just melancholy to her family but also to the society. ABVP stands with her family in this moment of grief and pays tribute to her soul”.
On this matter, the ABVP delegation met Mumbai Police DCP (preventive) Datta Nalawade and Dean of Nayar Hospital and demanded stringent action against the culprits abetting suicide of Payal Tadvi and also demanded suspension of HOD of gynaecology department ofNair Hospital.
On this matter, the ABVP delegation met state minister girish mahajan and demanded justice for payal.
